    DAY 1

Colonial City of Granada + Volcanic Islands Boat Tour + Masaya Volcano Lava Tour at Night.

    Colonial City of Granada

From the boarder, we will drive 2 hours to Granada. Once in Granada, we will do a Horse Carriage to visit the most emblematic colonial and neoclasic buildings, the tour will last 2 hours including a little walking through the mysterious streets of the city.

    Lunch Time

After the City Tour, we’ll all be hungry, so it’ll be time for us to sit down in a local restaurant to try something local.
You can start by trying Victoria or Toña beers, these two ones are made in Nicaragua and then we order a Nicaraguan dish known as “Caballo Ballo”, if you speak some spanish, Caballo might sound like horse, but it does not have anything to do with horse. It consists of many nicaraguan typical foods, severed in the same plate. You will love it!

Volcanic Islands Boat Tour: 365 little islands formed by a volcano nearby await on us, from the lunch area we will drive just 15 minutes to get to a Marina where we will take a boat around these pieces of land full of flora and fauna, hundreds of colorful birds’ species can be seen in our tour.

    Back to the hotel

After a long but fun day of activities, we will head back to the hotel around 7pm, we will go out for dinner to enjoy the city at Night.

    DAY 2

Relaxation Day (Apoyo Lagoon) + Catarina Lookout + Back to Costa Rica.

    Apoyo Lagoon

Today, after we have a delicious breakfast we will head to Apoyo Lagoon. This is
a volcanic lagoon, the biggest one of this kind in Nicaragua. In there, we will be able to do swimming, kayaking and paddle boarding or just relax on a Hammack if you wish.

Locals believe that the crystalline waters of this lagoon have healing properties and are also the most refreshing in the Pacific of Nicaragua. It means that once you have swum here, you will feel 10 years younger (LOL)..

    Katarina Lookout

After a couple of hours in the lagoon, we will drive 20 minutes to the top of a extinct volcano to enjoy some of the best views if the region.

Lunch at San Juan del Sur

Then we will drive 2 hours to get to the historical town of San Juan del Sur, a beach in the Pacific Coast of Nicaragua that served as a port in the mid 80s when the american Cornelious Vanderbilt transported people from New York & New Orleans to San Francisco during the Gold Rush. We will have lunch in this nice town as our guide tells us more about its history.

After lunch and before leaving back to Costa Rica, we will stop by The Jesus Christ of Mercy Statue, one of the biggest in Central America, located in the tallest hill of this town.

    Back Home

After 2 days of unforgettable experiences throughout Nicaragua, we will drive around 3pm to Costa Rica.
